Steve Wamberg is the initial curator of resilientchurch.org. His chief responsibility is to discover and develop content that fulfills the Resilient Church tagline: “Resources and encouragement for churches like ours.”
Steve is uniquely qualified for the task, having conducted renewal and evangelistic services with his wife Annie in hundreds of churches throughout the United States. In addition, Steve has enjoyed the privilege to fellowship with a variety of local churches in Europe, Africa, Latin America and South America through ministry with international friends and agencies. The overall exposure to so many churches across so many cultures instilled both a deep affection and a sense of optimism for the once and future church.
Those attitudes, grounded in gratitude for the grace and mercy of Jesus, are clearly evident in Wamberg’s preaching, teaching, and writing (including his contributions as the primary writer of this site’s blog, Confessions of Some Very Minor Prophets). With several friends and authors, he’s currently developing or editing a variety of Bible studies, VBS curricula, church arts pieces, and “state of the church” papers for resilientchurch.org. After taking time away from the road to raise his children with Annie, Steve is again available for renewal and evangelistic services, often with his son Ben, focused on the encouragement inherent in Jesus. Steve holds a degree in Communications from Wayne State College (Nebraska) and a Master of Divinity from Northern Seminary. He and Annie are the happy parents of two grown children, and the delighted grandparents of three grandchildren.
Steve welcomes correspondence via email at sjwamberg@gmail.com.
